Xinc B Syrup
Indications:
Xinc B Syrup is used for both the prevention and treatment of deficiencies in zinc and B vitamins. It is indicated for addressing the following:
- Zinc Deficiency: Helps in treating conditions associated with zinc deficiency, including impaired immunity, delayed wound healing, loss of appetite, mental drowsiness, and digestive issues.
- Vitamin B Deficiency: Supports treatment and prevention of vitamin B deficiencies, which can cause fatigue, neurological issues, and poor growth.
Pharmacology:
- Zinc: Vital for numerous biological functions including immune system support, wound healing, and normal growth. It contributes to mental and physical development and offers antioxidant benefits. Zinc is beneficial for children with ADHD and addresses various symptoms in adults related to zinc deficiency, such as poor appetite, depression, and immune dysfunction.
- Vitamin B Complex: Essential for energy metabolism, brain and nerve health, and red blood cell production. B vitamins are crucial for healthy development in children and help prevent neurological symptoms such as weakness, confusion, and memory issues in adults.
Dosage & Administration:

Syrup:
- Adults: 10 ml (2 teaspoonfuls) 2 to 3 times daily, or as prescribed by a physician.
- Children: 10 ml (2 teaspoonfuls) 1 to 3 times daily, or as prescribed by a physician.
- Infants: 5 ml (1 teaspoonful) 1 to 2 times daily, or as prescribed by a physician.

Tablets:
- Adults & Children Over 30 kg: 1 to 2 tablets 2 to 3 times daily, or as prescribed by a physician.
Interactions:
- Tetracyclines: May reduce the gastrointestinal absorption and serum levels of tetracycline when taken with zinc.
- Fluoroquinolones: Zinc can lower the absorption and serum levels of certain fluoroquinolones.
- Niacin and HMG-CoA Reductase Inhibitors: Combining niacin with these inhibitors (e.g., lovastatin) can lead to myopathy or rhabdomyolysis.
- Pyridoxine and Levodopa: Pyridoxine may decrease levodopa’s effectiveness.
- Pyridoxine and Phenytoin: Can reduce serum levels of phenytoin.
Contraindications:
- Allergy: Do not use if allergic to any component of the product.
Side Effects:
- Common: Generally well tolerated, but may cause mild gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach upset.
