SS Elbow 316
- Material: 316 Stainless Steel, providing superior resistance to corrosion, particularly in environments with high chloride content and aggressive chemicals.
- Type: Available in various types, including long radius (LR) and short radius (SR) elbows, to accommodate different installation requirements.
- Size Range: Offered in a wide range of sizes, typically from 1/2 inch to 24 inches in diameter, to fit various pipe systems.
- Pressure Rating: Suitable for high-pressure applications, with ratings typically up to 1500 PSI, depending on size and wall thickness.
- Temperature Range: Capable of withstanding extreme temperatures from -250°C to 870°C (-420°F to 1600°F).
- Angle: Common angles include 45 degrees and 90 degrees, allowing for versatile installation options.
A 90°, 45°, or 180° angle is typically used to join two lengths of pipes and change the direction of flow in the pipe. An elbow is a type of pipe fitting used for this purpose. Elbows, sometimes called bends, come in a variety of materials including duplex, cupro-nickel, carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, and nickel alloys.
90° elbows, also referred to as 90° bends, are produced in two sizes: SR (Short Radius) and LR (Long Radius). LR (Long Radius) elbows are the most common type of 45° elbows. While the short-radius elbows have a center-to-end distance equal to the NPS in inches (R=1.0D), the long-radius elbows have a center-to-end distance 1.5 times the NPS in inches (R=1.5D).=When space is available and flow is more important, long radius elbows are utilized; short radius elbows are typically utilized in cramped spaces. Additionally, we can produce and provide elbows made of carbon steel and stainless steel with non-standard size angles like 60°, 100°, 120°, or 150°.
