Process Overview:

  1. Initial Setup: The top and bottom coils of sheet metal are clamped onto the unwinding unit of the machine. These coils are then fed into the processing unit for further treatment.

  2. Surface Preparation: The “corona system” is used to clean the reverse sides of the sheet metal. This high-frequency treatment effectively removes greases and dirt, ensuring optimal adhesion between the foam and the sheet metal. This step is crucial for achieving a strong bond.

  3. Protective Coating: After cleaning, protective films are applied to the outer surfaces of both metal sheets. These films protect the sheets during the subsequent processing stages.

  4. Foaming and Assembly: The sheets are aligned and brought together. The bottom sheet is treated with foam using a swinging foam head, while the top sheet is mechanically stabilized to maintain proper alignment.

  5. Drying and Bonding: The assembled sheets are then continuously fed into a heated drying tunnel. Inside the tunnel, the foam expands to its full volume, binds securely to the metal sheets, and forms a robust, shear-resistant composite panel.

  6. Cutting: Upon exiting the drying tunnel, the panels are cut to the specified dimensions using a flying saw or cutter.
